Dreams are my personal view of the best possible future.
But i think this suits everybody.. now matter how low is your mood...
everybody needs to close his eyes and quietly think of his sweetest dreams

so everybody have a good day

CASTELLO 5940, 30100 Venezia Italia
Castello 5940 is my new address.
Every one knows that Venice is a labyrinth. A Magic city whith artifact ground, built on millions of wooden trunks, planted in the mud of the lagoon. That's why the streets are so narrow: the space is too precious to waste it for let cars passing by. For that, the average street in venice is 1,5 meter large and 20 meters long, and they all are crossed and waved with bridges and small squares, houses and tunnels. The city is divided into 6 "Sestieri" (like quartiers, but they are 6..). And this is the only division of the houses for the whole city!! it means, that before the house number, you can only find one of the six sestrieri's names (Cannaregio, S.Marco, S.Croce, Dorsoduro, S.Polo and Castello). That's why numbers arrive up to 6.000!! Postmen in Venice must know every single door in every narrow corridor or alley. So how to move in Venice? There is no map that you can follow, since the streets are so intricated, and even if you ask directions, you will be lost after few steps... but there's a system someone invented years go, which is based on 4 simple directions, and leads the tourists flux to the right direction. There are 4 kinds of yellow signs which indicates the railroad station, S. Marco Square, the Accademia and Rialto Bridge.Tourists follow this signs and manage to do their crappy picture and get back to the station or the bus station. But there's a problem: every single one of this 4 spots are in the first half of the city, so many people doesn't even know that there's half more city after S.Marco square. So, how to find something in the Sestiere of Castello, whitout even the basic information?? Thiss is not easy. You have to be aware, first of all, of the shape of Venice: Venice is a fish.

and as you can see, for exmaple the railroad station is in the eye of the fish, and the Arsenale (dismissed docks where they built ships centuries ago, now set of the "biennale" exhibition of art) is in the tail.
My new little apartament lies in the perfect center of the belly of the fish, 2 minutes away form the fake center which is the rialto Bridge, the first nucleus from which the whole city was built in 1300 years.
So for finding places in CAstell's Sestiere, you always have to look for the "campo"s, which in venetian means "small square". There is plenty of them, and they all have similar names, but never the same (really important! in venice up to ten or twlve streets can have the same name.. but not the squares.)
Our new setting lies between the campos of "S.Lio" and "S.Marina".
The narrow street in which it's situated is called "calle del piombo" (lead street) and it's a dead end calle.. it means that if you are lookin for my door, you could fall inthe water.. so be careful..
soon pictures and new details of the location.

This Blog will be in english, so that my internationl friends can read it, and my italian enemies cannot. I will not write soon here, but i'll try.
